for boys and girls ages 8-15 to solve problems dealing with engineering and its impact on our world. Cash prizes are offered (First-place $500, second-place $250, third-place $100).

ExploraVision is a science competition that encourages K-12 students of all interest, skill and ability levels to create and explore a vision of future technology by combining their imaginations with the tools of science. All inventions and innovations result from creative thinking and problem solving. The first prize consists of a $10,000 US Savings Bond for each student on the winning team. The second prize consists of a $5,000 US Savings Bond for each student on the winning team.

Discovery Education and 3M are looking for students in grades 5-8 to inspire us with their enthusiasm for science. The winner will receive $50,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds and much, much more! To enter, simply send us a video about the science of everyday life.

Designed to increase student’s experience in STEM-related fields this free competition encourages 6th-9th grade students to use the scientific method/inquiry or engineering design process to solve real-world challenges. Students can win on a state, regional, and national level, with students on national winning teams receiving $5,000 in U.S. EE Savings Bonds, valued at maturity.

In this competition, students and their coaches or mentors build robots based on sound engineering principles and design them to battle robots built by other competitors. A kit is provided for those who want to use one. Competitions are held around the country, and awards are given based on robot design, performance, community outreach, and other accomplishments. The winners of these competitions proceed to the competition's World Championship.
