School Counseling

The Middle School Counseling Department is dedicated to supporting students’ academic success, personal growth, and social-emotional development during these important middle years. Our counselors work closely with students and families to provide guidance in course selection, academic planning, and preparing for a successful transition to high school, while also offering ongoing support for students’ well-being.

School Counseling Support Services

The school counselors will meet with each student during the academic school year.  At any time, a student may request a personal appointment. Students can discuss academic or personal concerns. Counselors also provide additional support to students with learning disabilities, behavioral or emotional problems, and family issues. Contact your school counselor for assistance with scheduling parent meetings, setting up team meetings, concerns with social or academic issues, and request school work for a lengthy absence.

Naviance Student 

Naviance is a comprehensive website, that helps families make decisions about courses, colleges, and careers. Here in the Middle School, each grade is given a grade specific task to work on and the results are reviewed with the students guidance counselor.  6th Grade students are asked to complete the survey “Career Cluster Finder”, 7th Grade students take the “Career Key” survey, and 8th Grade students will take the “Strengths Explorer” survey.
