Course Information

Welcome! As a Content Support teacher my primary goal is to support each and every student within the mainstream classes so they can feel that they can be successful. In Content Support, this may be done through pre-teaching or re-teaching a topic covered in the core classes, teaching sills that may need support, or reviewing material to reinforce understanding.
Objectives:
- to develop independent thinkers and learners
- to equip students with critical thinking skills in reading, vocabulary, and problem solving
- create positive school experiences
- monitor study habits and organizational skills
- provide remediation in specific subject areas to meet your child’s individual academic needs (pre-teach, modify, and re-teach)
- support your child’s success in their mainstream classes
HELPFUL STUDY/REVIEW TIPS:

- Sit in a quiet place where there are no distractions
- Color code "like" ideas
- Review with Quizizz, Quizlet, or Kahoot
- Study with peers
- Draw or find a picture that relates to what you need to remember
- Watch videos
- Make flashcards
- Make matching or sorting games
- Make an acronym to help you remember
- Write or rewrite notes
- Find a video that models “how-to” complete a task
- Make outlines/ graphic organizers
