Zoom Expectations and Etiquette
Please read and make yourself familiar with the expectations when attending Zoom classes.
● Students dress must adhere to the Nyack School District’s Code of Conduct
● Students must use their legal name when entering a Zoom session
● While attending a Zoom session, students must show their face for the duration of the
session
● Students must mute themselves when attending a session until they wish to share their
thoughts with the entire group
● Attendance is mandatory at each Zoom session
● Students may use an appropriate virtual background when attending a Zoom session
● Students should be sitting upright when attending a Zoom session
● Students who are lying in bed will not be permitted to attend Zoom sessions and marked
absent from class
● Students should not wear hats or coverings during their Zoom session
● Language should be appropriate when participating in a Zoom session
● All participants should remain muted until they wish to participate in the discussion
● No portion of a Zoom session shall be recorded
● Zoom sessions should take place in a quiet environment with limited distractions
