Please use this website as a means to see what is happening, has happened and will happen in class. Notes and most Labs will be available to print directly off the Google Calendar. Students should check the "Work Completion Wall" in class or Parent Portal to see what work, if any, they owe. If you are looking for a list of supplies necessary for the class, please see the Course Outline and Expectations document on the Google Calendar.


Science 7 will look quite a bit different from a traditional classroom. We are taking a Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach wherein students will be asked to learn concepts through problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication and interaction with others both inside and outside of the classroom. Topics will be packaged into Authentic Learning Units (ALUs) which generally consist of learning centers, lab experiments, and culminating projects. I am both anxious and excited to implement these new learning modalities along with a boost in classroom technology and our new middle school structure.
